Work Experience and Education

At both Stir and Switchboard, Ian has worked on innovative canvas based products focused on creative collaboration.

Additionally, Ian designed a number of physical products including a Leica camera and a variety of watches utilizing a Figma plugin he developed specifically for watch design.

Before Hodinkee, Ian worked as a product design lead at a New York based digital agency called Beyond. I’m a big believer in the benefits of mentorship and giving back to the design community. When I teach, I'm forced to break down complex ideas into simpler more digestable concepts. Not only is it good for the design community, but it also strengthens my own understanding of the subject.
